The Registered Trustees of the Water Technicians Fund (RTWTF) is inviting students enrolled and new students applying to be enrolled at the Water Development and Management Institute (WDMI) for Basic Technicians Certificate and Diploma Courses to apply for loans for the 2016/2017 academic year.
The specific criteria of students who qualify for the loans are in the operational guidelines for 2016/2017. Interested students should READ and familiarize themselves with the requirements prior to making the application.
GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA FOR ISSUANCE OF STUDENT LOANS AND GRANTS FOR 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR
BACKGROUND
The Registered Trustees of the Water Technicians fund was registered in March 2013 with the sole purpose of providing loans to students enrolled at the Water Development and Management Institute.
According to the RTWTF handbook, eligible students who secure admission in the Water Development and Management Institute may seek loans from RTWTF to meet part of, or all costs of their education.
Section 5.1 of the RTWTF handbook states that eligible students:
Are Tanzanians.
Have been admitted to the Water Development and Management Institute (WDMI) or continuing students of WDMI who have successfully passed the examinations necessary to enable them to advance to the following year.
Have completed and submitted the WTF’s student Loan Application Forms.
Are unable to finance their studies at WDMI.
Meet other student Loan Eligibility Guidelines as maybe issued by the Board of WTF from time to time
On the strength of above criteria, the board are hereby issuing Guidelines and Criteria to prospective loan applicants and the public at large to guide the whole process of application and issuance of loans for 2016/2017 academic year.
ELIGIBILITY FOR LOANS FOR 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR
Eligible students for loans in 2016/2017 academic year must meet the following conditions:-
i) Must be a Tanzanian.
ii) Must have applied for a loan.
iii) Must have been admitted into the Water Development and Management Institute for a basic Technician Certificate course or a Diploma Course.
iv) Must be a continuing student who has passed the examinations necessary to enable him/her to advance to the next year or stage of study.
v) Must be a person who is not fully funded by other organizations or sources.
vi) Must not be employed.
vii) Female students in need are highly recommended to apply
